This card says Railroad Bridge and Falls, Palenville, Catskill Mountains.

Tannery bridge.

There are photos of what Palenville's suspension bridge looks like today on this site.

"This bridge was erected by the people of Palenville.     $25.00 fine for misusing."

Rip Van Winkle House was a stop for stage coaches on the way to the Catskill Mountain House.     The site of the old Rip Van Winkle House can still be found on the Mountain Turnpike ("the road that couldn't be built"), now a trail maintained by the State of New York.

On the back of this card the sender states "August 2, 1912, Passed this house.     Looks just like the picture."
